Hi, I am a divorced dad in Tampa, have been struggling for years since the divorce due to very high support payments.  In the past I have managed to maintain everything but in the last 2 years I have been involved in a wrongful paternity suit, which thank God I just won, but has cost me thousands of dollars in the process.  I have borrowed money from all the wonderful people I know, who trust me to repay them, but right now I am very close to losing my home, because I am 3 months behind.  I make too much money (gross, before child support is deducted) to really qualify for any type of aid, but unfortunately what I do have left over barely covers the necessities, so basically I'm caught in a catch-22 situation.  I dont even have any credit cards (but I am still trying to pay off old ones), my car is 15 yrs old, but that is because I choose to help my daughter pay for her car, which is a newer more dependable one, like any dad I try to put her needs before mine.  I love my kids, and do not want to lose the place they call home.  I would truly appreciate any suggestions, I have a great job that I love, have been with my employer for 5 yrs now, so consider myself a very dependable conscientious person.
